The route “Along the Slopes of Strahinjčica”

The route “Along the Slopes of Strahinjčica” is named after the mountain the slopes of which you ride along, featuring a mix of plains and climbs that constantly change the pace. While riding, you enter the cool shade of the forest, then emerge into open areas where viewpoints offer vistas of the Zagorje valleys. Along the route, you pass by the educational trail “Paths of Orchids,” unique for its rich variety of plant species. The Radboa Museum preserves a grapevine over 12 million years old, while the Podstenje archaeological necropolis reveals traces from the early Iron Age. A special place is held by Hiža Vinove Loze Interpretation Center, with modern interpretations, and Hiža Štrukli Restaurant, where a rest also becomes a culinary experience. The route offers a ride that combines nature, history and flavors in the unique landscape of Strahinjčica.
