The Badl Route is named after Jakob Badl, the founder of tourism in Krapinske Toplice (Spa). Thanks to his efforts, the spa became a renowned health resort, known for its thermal waters that have shaped life in the region. The route passes through plains and continues toward the hills, winding through forested areas and opening up viewpoints from which, on clear days, the Alps can be seen. On the hill above the town stands the mausoleum of Jakob Badl. Along the way, vineyards with award-winning wines, wineries and restaurants offering local flavors line the route, while cycling rest stops provide places to pause and rest. The circular route offers a varied pace, from gentler stretches to more challenging climbs and descents, with a constantly changing landscape. Thermal water remains the guiding thread, connecting health, activity and nature.
