The “Four Chapels” route is an easy circular ride, suitable for recreational cyclists and families. The ride begins in Marija Bistrica, at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Bistrica, the most famous pilgrimage site in Croatia. During the ride, you gradually discover the Chapel of St. Ladislaus, the Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene, the Chapel of St. Roch and the Chapel on Vinski Vrh, also known an ancient sacred site. Each of them invites a brief stop to explore and appreciate the local spiritual heritage. Along the route, you’ll find cycling rest stops where you can take a break and plan the rest of your ride. Marija Bistrica is also renowned for its licitars and wooden toys, which are listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, making this route a blend of cycling and the experience of living traditions. It is named after the four chapels that it links together in a unique ride.
